Children should spend the summer months enjoying fresh air and sunshine, without the gnawing feeling of an empty stomach. We’re doing our best to make sure kids in our community can enjoy their summer break, but we can’t do it alone. Luckily, there are community partners like the Albertsons Companies Foundation.
The Albertsons Companies Foundation’s Nourishing Neighbors recently gifted Move For Hunger a $25,000 grant to help feed children during the summer. We want to thank the Albertsons Companies Foundation Nourishing Neighbors for their generous donation. We’ll use the grant to use our network to transport 500,000+ pounds of food, helping to provide 416,000+ summer meals focusing on several Albertsons Companies Foundation communities.
