Each month, Move For Hunger chooses a community that displays a dedication to ending hunger. This November, The Place at Fountains at Sun City is awarded Community of the Month!
Located in Sun City, Arizona, The Place at Fountains at Sun City is an Independent Living 55+ Community in Maricopa County that has donated over 2,500 meals to local communities in need, making them November’s Community of the Month!
The MC Companies property participated in the MC Companies Trick or Can Food Drive in October, collecting nearly 500lbs of donations and providing over 400 meals to the St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance. Thanks to Atlantic Relocation Systems- Phoenix for transporting the donations!
In Arizona alone, nearly 800,000 people are food insecure, with over 265,000 children not knowing where their next meal will come from. In Maricopa County, there are more than 176,000 people living with food insecurity. We’re beyond grateful for every community that has joined us in the fight against hunger!
