September is Hunger Action Month and A-1 Freeman Moving & Storage decided to get involved by holding a food drive at their Dallas office.
Employees and members of the local community were encouraged to donate non-perishable food items, such as peanut butter, tuna fish, rice, beans, pasta, and canned soup/fruits/vegetables to help provide meals for their neighbors in need. In just a few weeks, they were able to collect nearly 800 pounds of food -- that's the equivalent of 645 meals!
A-1 Freeman Moving & Storage personally delivered all of the donations to the North Texas Food Bank, which provides assistance to the more than 830,000 people, including 1 in 5 children, who are food insecure in the greater Dallas area.
