Throughout September, we’re celebrating Hunger Action Month! Hunger Action Month is the perfect time to take action against hunger (you can learn more about other ways to take action here!). Move For Hunger reached out to a handful of restaurants to participate in a restaurant giveback throughout September, and we got some amazing responses!

“It’s outrageous that 1 out of 6 children experience food insecurity and many of those are BIPOC or members of the LGBTQIA community,” said Freya Estreller, Co-Founder of Future Gin, when asked why they chose to participate in the restaurant giveback event. “The pandemic, inflation, and climate change have made things worse, and partnering with Move For Hunger is truly the least we can do to close the gap and bring more awareness to the fight against hunger.”

By going to any of the restaurants or buying from the brands below, you can also help fight hunger - and try some amazing food!

SUR Restaurant and Lounge, located in West Hollywood, California, is donating $1 for every Goat Cheese Balls appetizer sold (pictured).

The Cottage, an artisanal market in Jersey City, New Jersey, is donating 25% of all donut sales.

Future Gin, a spirit brand that can be found in liquor stores in California, Arizona, and New York, is donating 10% of sales for the month of September (pictured).

Greenleaf Restaurant, located in Milford, New Hampshire, is donating $1 from each order of the Park House Rolls.

State Fare, with locations in Houston, Texas, Sugar Land, Texas, and The Woodlands, Texas, is donating $1 per Southern Fried Oreo (pictured).
