Meet our Director of Multifamily Partnerships, Bridget Foley!
Welcome to our Meet the Team series, where we’ll be introducing the Move For Hunger Staff 1 blog and 9 questions at a time. We hope you enjoy getting to know our team members as much as we enjoy working with them!
For April, we’re introducing our Director of Multifamily Partnerships, Bridget Foley! She’s been with Move For Hunger for 4 years and loves being able to connect to individuals in the Multifamily industry who would otherwise not think about hunger and food insecurity.

What do you do at Move For Hunger?

Bridget: “I am the Director of Multifamily Partnerships! I work with our Ownership and Property Management Companies to enroll, onboard, and train our new and renewing participants of the Multifamily Program. I work with our Engagement Manager, Jennifer, to strategize large food drives, fundraisers, and transports, as well as collaborate cross-departmentally to make the Multifamily team thrive!”
Why did you join Move For Hunger?
Bridget: “Move For Hunger has a piece of my heart. The idea that we can help make something that everyone does at least once – moving out of your home – more sustainable AND rescue food for people who are dealing with food insecurity, is amazing. Our program is a simple solution to a complex issue and should be the standard for more businesses!”
What do you like about working at Move For Hunger?
Bridget: “The people! Each and every connection that I have made through the opportunities at Move For Hunger has brought joy into my life. The passion to give back to those in need is remarkable. Every person I work within the vast network of Multifamily individuals inspires me to continue to educate others on the impact of food waste and food insecurity. Everyone I work with at Move For Hunger allows me to be myself, express my ideas, and be creative in my role. We love to work hard and play hard - I wouldn’t trade it for anything!”
What’s something you’re working on right now that you’re really excited about?
Bridget: “Trade Show season babyy! I am currently on the road traveling to our various partnered association events. These events are the most exciting time of the year because I get to meet with our partners and participating properties! We use these events to gain traction for new properties to join, engage with our returning properties as well as do special events like food drives and fundraisers! If you’re a property and see us at an event come say hi!!”
Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?

Adam Lowy and Meghan Longo have given me so many opportunities to be creative and mold our Multifamily program to what it is today. Margo Cianchetta has helped me gain more confidence in myself as a leader by helping me find my passions in the multifamily industry.
Adam Bianco has allowed me to also be more creative in taking on marketing initiatives and Stephanie De La Hoz has been my rock while transitioning to partnerships from programs. All of these wonderful people have taught me how to be a true team member while being authentically myself, so THANK YOU!”
What food could you eat every day and never get tired of?
Bridget: “Tacos! I love a good birria taco.”
What’s the best piece of advice that you’ve been given?
Bridget: “Not exactly advice, however, while going through the pandemic I learned to truly just sit and rest. Our world is always go, go, go (admittedly, I am this kind of person). The advice I now take with me is that it’s okay to rest & truly do what you need to do in that moment. Maybe it’s a walk, listening to music, or baking! Whatever helps you rest in any capacity so you don’t get burned out is essential to living life to the fullest as well as being your best self!”
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Bridget: “I wanted to be a Broadway star! I love musicals and performing.”
What’s your favorite movie or television series right now?
Bridget: “What We Do in the Shadows! I love Taika Waititi and vampire movies.”
Make sure to tune back in monthly to meet a new staff member, and follow our social channels (we’re on all of them @moveforhunger) to stay up to date on hunger news and the impact our network is making!
