On October 7, despite less than ideal conditions, Jennifer Harvey of Crown Relocations of New York turned her miles into meals at the iconic Chicago Marathon. Jennifer braved the wind and rain with thousands of other runners, walkers, and spectators, making for a soggy Sunday. Finishing with a remarkable time of 3:11, she is obviously an impressive endurance athlete, as the winner had a time of 2:05.
Besides crushing it out on the course, Jennifer raised much-needed funds for Move For Hunger. In a matter of only a few days, Jennifer raised an impressive $1,680 for our hunger relief and food waste reduction programs. Besides her own dedication to the cause, Crown Relocations of New York has been a dedicated member of Move For Hunger for years and was named our International Movers Association Mover of the Year at this year's conference. Crown has collected more than 213,000 pounds of food since 2010 and continues to be a huge supporter of the cause.
