Move For Hunger and Corporate Relocation International: WellRive announce new partnership to help the fight against hunger.

Corporate Relocation International: WellRive, who provide personalized Mobility Services across the country, join Move For Hunger in a new partnership that will fight hunger and reduce food waste nationwide! This new partnership will help contribute donations to food banks and pantries, allowing us to provide an additional 30,000 meals to communities in need!
 

Founded in 2009 by Adam Lowy, Move For Hunger has now built an elaborate network of supporters. The network now comprises over 1,200 moving companies, and more than 3,000 multifamily apartment communities. Move for Hunger has provided over 44 million pounds of food, equaling more than 36 million meals, to people in need across the country.

“More than 44 million Americans are facing hunger, but we are wasting 40% of the food in the United States every year”, said Adam Lowy, Executive Director/ Founder of Move For Hunger. With the support of partners such as WellRive, we are able to rescue more food and provide more meals to those in need. 

WellRive, a division of Corporate Relocation International, is a move management company that aims to provide full-service relocation services to more than 55 communities. Inflation & food insecurity are on the rise

Cuts to SNAP benefits and inflation have had a devastating economic impact and filled the lines at food banks and pantries across the country. More than 47 million Americans including 1 in 5 children are struggling with food insecurity and do not know where their next meal is coming from. 

For people of color and other minorities, the situation is even worse. Hunger disproportionately affects the Black population, the Latinx community, LGBTQ+ individuals, and more. 

USDA TERMINATES FOOD SECURITY REPORT 

September 22: The USDA announced termination of future Household Food Security Reports USDA, which had tracked hunger nationwide for nearly 30 years. The most recent data revealed that one in seven households — 47.4 million people, including 13.8 million children — were food insecure. For more than three decades, the report was been the gold standard for measuring whether a household lacks consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life. “Eliminating data collection strips away the evidence that proves these programs work, where investment is needed, and who is being left out,” Crystal FitzSimons, president, Food Research & Action Center said in a statement.
