FPI & move for Hunger
Since joining Move For Hunger a few years ago, FPI Management has helped provide more than 11,500 meals to individuals in need.
"Move For Hunger has been one of FPI's national give back campaigns for the last 4 years. During this time we have been able to help provide food to those in need within local communities by empowering our staff and residents to contribute to donation efforts. We absolutely love the work that this organization does and the partnership that we have built. The cause and all of the people working behind the scenes are truly inspiring and amazing!"

How the program works
People throw away a lot of things when they move, including perfectly good food. With 40 million Americans facing hunger each day, including 1 in 6 children, there's no reason any food should go to waste. Move For Hunger is teaming up with the multi-family industry to make sure every resident has the opportunity to donate their food when they move.
When a resident gives notice that they are moving out, please provide them with the program letter and a food collection bag.
Encourage them to place any unopened, non-perishable food items that they are not taking with them and wish to donate in the bag.
When you've collected a few bags, let us know! We will arrange for a partner to pick up the donations and deliver them to your local food bank.

Impact & Sustainability

35% of food
goes to waste
About 40% of all the food that is grown, processed and transported in the United States is wasted. By joining Move For Hunger, professionals in the Multi-Family industry can reduce food waste at their communities AND provide meals for their neighbors in need. Utilizing the tools that we provide, the move-out process will become a more sustainable practice for both your property and your residents.
