2. Portrait mode

If your phone or camera has the capability to use portrait mode, make sure to utilize it! It's a quick and easy way to instantly upgrade your photo quality.

3. Take shots from a ton of different angles.

Taking pictures from various angles will more likely get the best shot! This could mean taking up-close pictures or standing further back to get everything in the photo. More is better!

4. Make it Bright!

If possible, ensure you get good lighting when taking your pictures. If you are inside, it’s all about the windows - use them to illuminate the photo's subject! Don't forget to use portrait mode when you can!

5. Strike A Pose!

Whether you're taking a group photo or a selfie, planning a fun pose will add a little spice to your picture! Some examples of poses could be raising your arms or even pointing to the filled food truck or displaying food donations.

6. Action!

Let's talk sports. Have you ever seen a fantastic action shot of a baseball player hitting the ball or a basketball player slamming a dunk? While those pictures might not have been planned, they are definitely some of the best!

By taking action shots of movers moving food into the back of trucks or of volunteers organizing food donations, action shots never fail!

7. The More Pictures, the Better!

We love to see the moments captured from transportations and events we do not attend. Taking various good-quality photos during your next move or food drive will make everyone feel engaged! Plus you never know when someone will be blinking, so the more, the better.

Pictures tell a story, and Move For Hunger wants to share the story that you experienced. Using some of these tips, you can take great photos for us to share with Move For Hunger’s network. We appreciate everything our network does for us, and what better way to share our appreciation than to show it!
