Glengarry Construction held their second annual Fill-A-Truck food drive on February 24 at the Metro Supermarket in Trenton, Ontario. Shoppers and members of the local community were challenged to donate enough non-perishable food to fill the trucks Glengarry Construction had stationed outside of the store.
Last year's event was a great success, as the Glengarry team collected 1,000 lbs of food despite frigid temperatures that plummeted to -13 degrees. Although it may have seemed like a tall task to top last year's total, Glengarry Construction did just that, as nearly 1,450 lbs. of food was donated, which is enough to provide 1,200 meals! Glengarry Construction personally delivered all of the donations to Trenton Care and Share Foodbank.
More than 4 million Canadians are food insecure, including 1.15 million children. We thank everyone who made a donation and to Glengarry Construction who once again proved how committed they are to fighting hunger in Ontario!
