NYC Living Social BeerFest Collects over 400 lbs of Food

This past weekend we teamed up with Living Social and Crown Relocations to hold a BeerFest in Brooklyn, NY. Nearly 5,000 people came out to sample over 50 craft beers from more than 25 breweries. Here at Move For Hunger, we believe that you can turn anything into a food drive. A BeerFest is no different! The event was held at Skylight One Hanson – formerly the Williamsburg Savings Bank. Did you know that this used to be the tallest building in the boro?!
When the kegs were kicked, the lights went out, and the hangovers subsided (hopefully), we were able to collect over 400 lbs of food – enough to provide over 300 meals to those in need! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support the food drive and Move For Hunger. Check out the rest of the PHOTOS on our Facebook page..
If you weren't able to see us in Brooklyn, we'll be at an even bigger BeerFest in Washington DC on September 29-30.
If you see yourself Tag the Photo!!
