The City by the bay never ceases to entertain. The cool Pacific breezes and sweeping views of the harbor were a welcome change to the desert/mountain-scape that has dominated our past couple of drives. While we missed out on Alcatraz we did manage to take in sights of the city during our short stay. This was Adam’s first visit to the city and true to San Francisco’s progressive nature, my Uncle Dean (our gracious host) somehow persuaded him to broaden his horizons and try some Burmese food. Which is not an easy task if you know anything about his native diet that usually consists of pasta, Sour Patch Kids and steak.
We swung by the San Francisco Food Bank before heading down the scenic Pacific Coast Highway to learn a little about the need in the Bay Area. Check out our tour of their fantastic facility, with Stacy Newman the Media Relations Manager…
Paul Ash, the Executive Director, tells us about the need in the area and how the high cost of living drives many working families to seek assistance at the food bank…
